20/10/2009 - Distinctly Floral has moved - the online shop and Christmas!

It happened a little while ago, but we have now officially moved. Please see our contact page for information on how to get in touch. We've had a busy few weeks, apart from the move, with lots of weddings plus the kick-off of the wedding fair season. Please browse the blog for lots of images of recent weddings and the wedding fairs. Thanks to everyone who has visited us at the fairs, and those due to see us next weekend at the Detling Show.

 

Keep a close eye on the website in the next few weeks, as the online shop will be launched alongside our Christmas collection.

 

05/09/2009 - Distinctly Floral is moving

As our regular customers are aware, we have decided to close the shop in King Street in Maidstone and move to our purpose built workshop and studio in Hadlow. We will close the Maidstone shop on 5th September 2009, although we will still be working intermittently in the King Street shop on many of our weddings for a short time afterwards. Our new number will be 01732 850723 although it may be diverted back to Maidstone in the early days.

 

Please bear with us during the transition period as there may be times when we will be between locations. If we are not available, just leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

 

The business will continue to run as it is at present with our existing florists and orders can still be made over the phone, or via our online shop which will be launched shortly. We will also be happy to welcome customers to our studio at pre-arranged times. At our new purpose built studio, we will have a separate consultation room as at present, where we will conduct wedding, event and sympathy consultations and will also hold open evenings as per previous years.

By moving out of a High Street position, we will be significantly reducing our costs and hence can remain extremely competitive for our customers. We are also so very busy with wedding and event work, we believe our new working environment will help us manage even more weddings in the future....watch this space for more news on growth in this area.

01/02/2009 - New Website Launch

As you will have gathered by now, we have re-designed and re-launched our website. Since we opened the shop just over 2 years ago, the website has grown through the addition of new features and many more galleries featuring images of our work, but we thought it was time to tidy a few things up and launch some new features which we hope you will enjoy. The main changes we have introduced are:

  • the main menu bar now allows you to navigate to any point in the site with just one click

  • the galleries have all been updated with new images, especially in the Everyday and Corporate sections

  • in our wedding section, you can now see a slideshow of our designs, with a link to a new section where you can view complete weddings with images of the bridal party flowers and venue dressing

  • the 'Blog', which is covered in its own news item
